Targeted Analyses Using Triple-Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry

Aims: Extract and quantify target proteins, lipids and/or metabolites as complete and accurate as possible.

Procedures: Cell and tissue processing for subsequent extractions, proteolytic digests with various enzymes, sample pretreatment by liquid-liquid and/or solid phase extraction and/or reverse phase-cleanup, chromatographic separation using nano-LC, micro-flow or normal flow (U)HPLC and gas chromatography, quantification of molecules mainly by triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry (Agilent 6490) including MS/MS fragmentation.

Results:  Depending on the analytes, quantification of up to 300 different molecules in single runs with detection limits in the low attomolar range and linear ranges spanning up to 5 orders of magnitude.
