Tendonregeneration versus Tendonrepair
Cooperationsproject with the aim to improve the healing of injured horse-tendons.
The bioanalytics-lab is member of a consortium, which is headed by Prof. Dr. Florian Jenner of the Vetmed University.
In addition the "Boku"-University in Vienna and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) take part. The topic is the typically unsatisfactory healing of injured tendons of adult animals. Potentially improvement with the aid of targeted stemmcell activities is investigated using sheep as model system. At the Institute of Analytical Chemistry, mass spectrometric analyses of secretome samples derived from various regenerative process situations are performed. The focus is on growth-factors, cytokines and chemokines.
